Cleveland, OH
A giant candy warehouse joined by an old-fashioned soda shop, on-site ice-cream production, hundreds of bottled sodas, and thirty-six holes of miniature golf.
The Cleveland campus combines a massive candy store, wholesale warehouse, soda shop, homemade ice cream, bottled sodas, popcorn, and two miniature-golf courses.
Field notes
Why it belongs
Candy warehouse, retail superstore, soda shop, ice-cream production, popcorn operation, and miniature-golf destination.
Although candy is the central product, the scale and combination of warehouse shopping, dining, ice-cream production, soda collecting, and miniature golf qualify the Cleveland campus through the unusual-experience exception.
The main store carries an unusually broad selection of bulk, nostalgic, imported, classic, and novelty candy. The same campus includes a large soda shop with house-made ice cream and hundreds of bottled sodas, plus a seasonal thirty-six-hole miniature-golf complex.
