Connecticut field entry

CVRATED by Ryan Matthew Cohn

Bridgeport, CT

A Bridgeport showroom where medical skulls, taxidermy, rare antiques, bizarre furniture, historic artifacts, strange art, giant puppets, and objects that look like movie props are almost all for sale.

CVRATED by Ryan Matthew Cohn turns a former industrial space into part antique showroom, part gallery, and part cabinet of curiosities, filling it with anatomical material, taxidermy, historic objects, art, extraordinary furniture, and rare finds sourced from around the world.

Field notes

Why it belongs

Antique dealer, medical-curiosity shop, taxidermy showroom, art gallery, furniture dealer, historical-object collection, film-prop source, and walk-through cabinet of curiosities.

The scale and quality of the objects make it feel less like browsing an antiques store and more like walking through a private collection where nearly everything happens to have a price.

CVRATED by Ryan Matthew Cohn opened its permanent Bridgeport showroom in 2026 after years of Cohn's work as an artist, collector, designer, dealer and organizer of the Oddities Flea Market. Inside the Union Avenue space, rare antiques and historic artifacts share the floor with medical curiosities, taxidermy, human skulls, unusual furniture, sculptures, artwork, and objects that seem more likely to belong in a museum or film set than a conventional store. The showroom is open to the public on Sundays and available by appointment during the week, reinforcing its hybrid identity as gallery, dealer space, and cabinet of curiosities.
