Mrs. Cavanaugh’s North Salt Lake location is both a retail store and the family chocolatier’s approximately 30,000-square-foot working factory. The store carries boxed chocolates, caramels, nuts, creams, seasonal confections, gifts and ice cream; the company says the chocolates and scoops sold at this location are made on the property. Appointment-only tours run on published weekday windows and select Saturdays, last about 45 minutes and move through the company story and factory-viewing spaces. Production varies, with Monday through Thursday identified as the best chance to see active work. Other Mrs. Cavanaugh’s branches are not part of this record.
