TMK Creamery + Distillery
Canby, OR
A Canby dairy farm where milk becomes cheese and ice cream, then the leftover cheesemaking whey takes another turn through an on-site distillery to become TMK’s Cowcohol vodka—all sold and explained through a working farm visitor operation.
TMK combines dairy farming, farmstead cheesemaking, direct product sales and a distillery that converts a cheesemaking byproduct into spirits.
Field notes
Why it belongs
Working dairy farm, farmstead cheese and ice-cream production, direct product sales and an on-site distillery that turns leftover whey into vodka.
Working dairy farm, commercial creamery, cheese and ice-cream production, direct farm retail, whey-based distilling and scheduled farm and production experiences at one property.
TMK Creamery + Distillery operates from a Canby farm where milk from the property’s dairy herd is turned into farmstead cheese, ice cream and other products. The operation then takes one of cheesemaking’s byproducts—whey—and ferments and distills it into the vodka TMK calls Cowcohol. Visitors on scheduled dates can buy farm products and participate in tours that may include the creamery, distillery and the farm’s Cowlebrities. TMK currently operates on selected public dates rather than a dependable normal weekly schedule, so never infer recurring hours from an old event calendar.
