Boehm's Candies — Issaquah

Issaquah, WA

An Issaquah chocolate shop wrapped around a working candy factory, where free windows look into hand-dipping, molding and packaging while guided tours can also reach the founder's Alpine-style chalet and tiny High Alpine Chapel.

Boehm's combines serious confection retail with an unusually accessible factory, free production windows, scheduled guided tours and a distinctly Alpine visitor environment.

Chocolate retail, active confection manufacturing, free self-guided factory viewing, guided tours, classes, chalet and chapel on one operating candy-company property.

Boehm's Candies operates its Issaquah retail shop beside the active factory where its confections are produced. A free self-guided window route runs along the factory and lets visitors glimpse processes such as dipping, molding and packaging when production is active. Interpretive signs and four large monitors supplement the windows. Seasonal guided tours go deeper into the factory and also incorporate the founder's Alpine-style chalet and High Alpine Chapel when available; private tours may be offered year-round depending on staff. Scheduled chocolate-making classes add a separate reservation-based experience. Ordinary store hours, production hours, free window viewing and reservation-based tours are distinct, and live production is never guaranteed.
