Field notes
Why it belongs
Taxidermy, wet specimens, bones, metaphysical merchandise, workshops, education, and a related pet-memorial service.
It combines specimen-based retail, spiritual merchandise, educational workshops, and a separate related memorial service in a way that no ordinary curiosity, metaphysical, or pet business describes adequately.
The shop centers on oddities and taxidermy but extends into metaphysical supplies and educational programming. Visitors encounter preserved specimens, skeletal material, natural objects, ritual merchandise, handmade pieces, and classes related to the store’s specialties. A separately operated pet-cremation and funeral service adds another unusual dimension to the business.
