Field notes
Why it belongs
Specialty toy store, roadside architectural attraction, hands-on demonstration space, and interactive family destination.
It qualifies through the unusual-experience exception. The store’s singular product category is transformed by the spacecraft-like building and demonstration-driven visit into a destination that is more memorable than a conventional toy retailer.
The store’s inventory is primarily toys, but the visit begins before customers enter. Its metallic, angular building resembles a spacecraft or stealth aircraft, and the interior emphasizes active demonstrations and opportunities to try products rather than conventional shelf browsing alone.
