Pink Elephant Antique Mall
Livingston, IL
A 30,000-square-foot antique mall inside a 1929 high school, surrounded by giant fiberglass roadside creatures and joined by a fudge-and-candy shop plus a working diner inside an enormous ice-cream cone.
Pink Elephant Antique Mall turns a Route 66 antiques stop into a full roadside compound of giant fiberglass figures, dozens of dealers, homemade fudge and candy, an ice-cream-cone diner and increasingly strange seasonal events.
Field notes
Why it belongs
Antique mall, jewelry and collectible market, candy factory, fudge shop, Route 66 souvenir shop, diner, ice-cream stand, giant-fiberglass roadside attraction, and seasonal UFO/haunted-event venue.
The antiques alone would not clear the bar; the surrounding giant creatures, schoolhouse setting, candy operation and cone-shaped diner do.
Pink Elephant Antique Mall occupies Livingston's former 1929 high school and spreads antique furniture, jewelry, glassware, memorabilia, collectibles and home goods across roughly 30,000 square feet. Outside, giant fiberglass roadside figures establish that this is not a normal antiques stop. The same destination includes Mother Road Fudge Factory & Candy Shop, where fudge and candy are made and sold, and Twistee Treats Diner, operating inside an original giant ice-cream-cone building. Current Route 66 festivals, UFO events and haunted programming push the property even further into roadside-attraction territory.
