Scavenged Goods

Denver, CO

A Colfax scavenger shop where vintage band shirts, vinyl, VHS, comics, toys, posters, jewelry, taxidermy, storage-unit artifacts, and an entire room of clowns compete for shelf space.

Scavenged Goods turns one professional picker's finds into a store that jumps between punk vintage, records, dead media, comics, toys, antiques, taxidermy, jewelry, posters, and whatever strange object emerged from the latest storage unit.

Field notes

Why it belongs

Vintage-clothing shop, record store, VHS archive, comic shop, toy store, antique picker, jewelry counter, taxidermy cabinet, and storage-unit treasure hunt.

The inventory can change radically with every pick, which makes the store fundamentally less classifiable than a conventional curated vintage boutique.

Scavenged Goods is the brick-and-mortar result of owner Chip Litherland's years of picking storage units and following unusual finds wherever they lead. Vintage clothing and band shirts sit beside vinyl, VHS tapes, comics, toys, magazines, posters, jewelry, taxidermy, antiques, candles, and odd artifacts with no obvious category. A famously creepy streak — including a concentrated clown collection — gives the already unpredictable store an additional layer of personality.
