WYWyoming field entry
Aladdin General Store
Aladdin, WY
A functioning general store inside an 1896 mercantile that still retains original cabinetry, bins and upstairs attic character, while groceries, hardware, fishing supplies and Western goods share the property with a bar and RV park.
Aladdin feels less like a recreated historic attraction than a 19th-century mercantile that simply kept adapting to modern travelers.

Aladdin General Store is a working commercial stop inside a mercantile built in 1896, retaining original interior woodwork, cabinetry, windows, storage bins and upstairs wallpaper and attic character. Current retail spans changing groceries and convenience goods, fishing supplies, clothing and Western goods, art and gifts, beer and hardware. Upstairs, Aladdin's Antique Attic combines antiques and merchandise with preserved historic context, so not every object is assumed to be for sale. An on-site bar generally follows store hours, with first-party material noting that Friday service may extend to about 7:30 p.m. A full-hookup RV park on the north side is a secondary operation and is not required for store access. The business markets itself as Wyoming's oldest general store, an attributed claim rather than an independent certification. This is a living historic mercantile, not a formal museum. As the business explicitly states, its post office closed in 2025 and is not presented as a current service.
