Frontier Auto Museum
Gillette, WY
A Gillette antique and collectibles store with a café attached to a 13,000-square-foot Americana museum packed with classic cars, neon, gas pumps, vintage storefronts and even an indoor drive-in theater.
Frontier works because the commercial side is substantial: a real antiques-and-collectibles shop and café share the destination with an immersive automotive museum rather than functioning as a token museum gift counter.

Frontier Auto Museum combines a ticketed automotive and Americana museum with the substantial Frontier Relics store and Commodore Cafe. The museum describes approximately 13,000 square feet of classic cars, vintage neon, porcelain advertising, gas pumps, oil and gas memorabilia, recreated early-1900s-to-1950s environments, an indoor drive-in-style theater showing changing classic films and commercials, a mining room and model railway. Its retro soda-fountain and pharmacy area is a historical museum setting where visitors can sit with ice cream; no pharmacy or prescription retail service operates there. Actual food service comes from Commodore Cafe, whose changing menu includes coffee, brats or sausages and milkshakes. Frontier Relics sells antiques, collectibles, vinyl records, décor, authorized Pendleton merchandise and other changing goods. Pendleton products are not represented as museum-made, and cars, signs, advertising and other museum artifacts are not assumed to be for sale.
