The Shops at Emerson
Mount Tremper, NY
A Catskills barn-like shopping destination where regional food, apparel, gifts, toys, books, home goods, art, bath products and fishing supplies share one connected complex with the World's Largest Kaleidoscope in a converted silo.
The Shops at Emerson combine a broad cluster of specialty departments with a separate admission-based kaleidoscope show housed in a towering former silo.
Field notes
Why it belongs
Multi-department Catskills shopping complex, regional-maker market, food-and-gift destination, fishing-supply stop and giant silo-based kaleidoscope attraction.
A broad connected retail cluster shares a resort property with an immersive kaleidoscope show inside a converted grain silo.
The Shops at Emerson form a multi-department retail destination at the Emerson Resort property in Mount Tremper. Current shop pages describe Catskills gifts, local and regional food, apparel, toys, books, home goods, jewelry, art, bath products and fishing supplies across connected specialty spaces. On the same property, a roughly 60-foot converted grain silo houses the admission-based World's Largest Kaleidoscope show. Emerson says Guinness recognized the attraction in 1997; that remains an attributed historical claim, and the current visual program can change. The Kaleidoscope keeps its own schedule and phone and is not treated as a second store profile.
