Field notes
Why it belongs
Two-floor Christmas warehouse, lighting showroom, ornament market, animated-display supplier and New York City seasonal destination.
Its unusual scale for an in-city holiday store and mix of household ornaments with oversize display pieces create a physical destination worth documenting.
House of Holiday describes its Queens showroom as a two-floor, 35,000-square-foot seasonal destination. The inventory extends from ornaments and artificial trees to lighting, animated figures and large exterior pieces, giving New York City a warehouse-scale holiday shop beyond Manhattan's smaller Christmas boutiques.
